Nice example of early American "Goofus" glass bowl , circa early 1900's. Unmarked. Unsure of the origin of the name but "goofus" glass is considered the earliest form of carnival glass. Unfired gold & red paint covers the pressed glass bowl which features a floral pattern similar to a wild rose.

Measures 9" in diameter. Remarkably good condition given its age. No chips or cracks with minimal paint loss on the outside of the rim which can be seen in the photos.
