Antique footed Majolica Etruscan compote, GSH Co. (c 1880s)

Offering an elegant antique Majolica Etruscan footed salad compote in the cobalt daisy pattern. It was manufactured by Griffin-Smith -Hill Co. , Phoenixville Pa as marked on the base. It dates to the turn of the 20th Century. 

The compote retains original vibrant colors including the lovely rosy pink interior. 

This is a nice old piece of Majolica which can be seen on pg. 141 of the "Antique Trader - Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide - 2012 edition".  (Please note the other items shown in the last photo are for display purposes only)

CONDITION: 

Very good "age appropriate" condition: some crazing & roughness on the rim plus minor hairline cracks & staining on interior.

Measures: 5" high x 9" in diameter across the bowl x 4.5" wide at the base
