Vintage painted splint gathering basket, American (c 1930s)

This vintage basket is woven from painted splint and has a wicker handle.....which makes it a bit more decorative than most. 

Measures: 11" x 10" x 10". Minor splitting in the larger yellow splint (which can be seen in the photos) but the condition, in general, is very good. (We should all be so robust at 80+ years old.)
