Pair of IOOF Rebekah staff toppers, lily shaped (c 1920s)
Viewed as a emblem of purity, this pair of lily shaped staff toppers were once finials on a pair of IOOF Odd Fellows Rebekah ceremonial pieces. They were acquired when the contents of the Odd Fellows/Rebekah Lodge in Beresford SD which closed in the 1920s were auctioned off. The staff/flag poles are long gone so the flowers have been mounted on a piece of wood to display.
The toppers measure 7" tall x 4.5" across the face of the lily. The new wooden bases are 3" square.
Made of impressed pot metal, lilies are one of the symbols used by both the Odd Fellows and the Masons and signify purity of thought, word and action.

CONDITION:
Very good vintage condition with a nicely aged patina. One has suffered some surface loss of the metal on the back side that can be seen in the photos.
