Vintage "Arcadia Mixture" brand tobacco tin, Surbrug Company, New York, with the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition stamp and "Highest and Only Award" graphics on lid. Marketed as tobacco for women, the slogans on the top read "NO ONE WHO SMOKES THE ARCADIA MIXTURE WOULD EVER ATTEMPT TO DESCRIBE ITS DELIGHTS - J.M. BARRIE" and a quote from "My Lady Nicotine" written in 1890 "ONE NEED ONLY PUT HIS HEAD IN AT MY DOOR TO REALIZE TOBACCOS ARE OF TWO KINDS, THE ARCADIA AND OTHERS".
Green and gold tin is in fair vintage condition given the age. Empty. Lid is closed and we've not attempted to pry it open.
