Vintage "Daisy Fly Killer" insecticide tin (c 1920s)

Vintage "Daisy Fly Killer" tin and paper storage envelope. Frightening beautiful graphics that were designed to attract and kill flies. Patented Feb. 28th, 1888 by Harold Somers Inc. Brooklyn NY. This tin is unused but it makes me wonder what happened to the humans who followed the directions and activated the arsenic.

Measures: 6" long x 3.75" wide x .25" deep. Brown tin with green, and white daisies featuring a yellow cork and 5 yellow "wicks" designed to absorb the arsenic solution.  Graphics include the ingredients list and a "CAUTION" label on the top with instructions on the side. Patented Feb. 28th, 1888 by Harold Summers Inc. Brooklyn NY.  Nice tin in good condition. One wick has come unrolled as can be seen in the photo.
