Antique Country Store Calendar, Armour SD (c 1907)

Description

What a charming piece of advertising ephemera that somehow escaped being relegated to the garbage bin. A partially complete calendar for the year 1907 that was created as a giveaway on behalf of Crutchett's Pharmacy in Armour South Dakota. It features a darling photo of a sleeping girl entitled "All Tired Out" that has attribution on the bottom along with a copyright date of 1905. Happily, the last seven months of the year remain on the calendar confirming the provenance.

Mounted on heavy cardboard, the piece measures 11.5" x 14.5" . It is in very good condition given its age and the fact that it was intended to be a throwaway when the new year rolled around.
