Offering a lovely hand-colored lithograph print by M & H Hanhart lithographers. The artist is W. C. Hewitson and the subject is "nymphalidea erisa" commonly known as brush-footed butterflies. Six different renderings in shades of black, white and gold represent the largest family of butterflies in the world. #62 and #63 are "eresia alsina"; #64 - #67 are "eresina pelonia".
Framed print measures: 10" x 12". Professionally framed with a few holes in the paper on the back.
The colors on the butterflies remain vibrant. The background is a soft yellow, whether from age or by design, I have no clue. All writing is legible.
