Antique tramp art wall box, American folk art (c 1930s)

Charming tramp art holder constructed from a cigar box or some other light wood in the 1920s or 30s. Painted with a dark brown lacquer, it features a primitive floral design and notched carved trim.

Measures 6" tall & 5.5" wide x 2" deep.

Fun piece of American folk art that was probably made as a match holder.
