A primitive, handmade match holder made of paper mache, very possibly a child's art project. Mounted on a repurposed board that was once red, it boasts its original greenish-grey painted finish.
Measures 8.5 long x 4.5" wide and the match holders are 2" tall. Good vintage condition given its age. The paint is worn and cracked with some loss at the bottom which can be seen in the photos.
This is a nice piece of handmade, one-of-a-kind American folk art.
