Antique square mold, deep amber "PAINES CELERY COMPOUND" bottle (c 1900s)

Hard to believe something that contained celery wasn't always good for you but they referred to PAINE"S CELERY COMPOUND" as "quack" medicine around the turn of the 20th century. This bottle that once contained it is square molded with embossed branding on two sides. It features an applied lip & is deep amber in color. What a nice reminder of the days before the FDA.

CONDITION:

Small chip on lip (which can be seen in the 4th photo). Otherwise good condition.
