Vintage Herter's mourning dove decoy (c 1940s)

Vintage Herter's mourning dove decoy. Formed paper mache with painted wing and facial detail. Mounted on a clothespin. 

Measures: 9" long x 4.5" high x 3.5" wide. Attached to a clothespin so it can be attached to a tree or clothesline to lure other birds closer. Good vintage condition with minor loss of paint on the painted surfaces which can be seen in the photos.
