Vintage gathering basket, American, wicker & splint (c 1940s)

Description

Offering a nice vintage American gathering basket dating to the '30's or '40's.

It's an exceptionally large one, measuring 18" in length, 14" in width and height so its owner could bring home lots of veggies for dinner.

Made of wicker and woven splint, it's in good vintage condition. There are some minor splints in the weaving around the top, under the lip (which can be seen in the photos).

Despite that wear, it remains very sturdy & would look great filled with flowers in a country kitchen.

CONDITION:

Good vintage condition. Minor wear in the splint weaving around the top under the lip. Still sturdy and displays very well.
