A primitive, handmade match holder probably constructed from a cigar box. It features a folky carved design, portions of which are painted to set off the carving. Original untouched finish.
Measures 8.5 long x 5.5" wide. The match holders are 3" long. Good vintage condition. No loss of wood but the varnish is worn.
This is a nice piece of handmade, one-of-a-kind American folk art.
