Antique folk art wood burned bowl, St David's PA (c 1906)

Offering a folky wood-burned bowl with an intricate design on both sides. The front features the initials CH inside a stylized border. The text "KEEP A PLACE IN YOUR HEART FOR US" is carved around the lip of the bowl. A carved stamp on the bottom reads "St David's PA 1906". Made of lightweight wood. Unsigned by the craftsman. 

Measures: 8.5" wide x 2" deep. 

This is a nice example of pyrography as an art form.

CONDITION:

Very good "as found" condition with a nice rich patina. Slight loss of the composition material around the lip which can be seen in the 5th photo.
