Offering an early stoneware pitcher found in the Upper Midwest. Circa 1890-1910's. Features a raised basket-weave design with a spray of dogwood on both sides of the pitcher. Wonderful mellow colors - a rusty gold, beige and dark olive green.
Measures: 9" tall x 7" from tip to handle x 5" wide at the base. Pretty typical condition issues for a 100+ year old pitcher that was actually used. Chips on the base (which can be seen in the 4th photo), roughness on the top rim and crazing on the bottom. Despite these cosmetic flaws, it looks gorgeous holding a bouquet.
Nice primitive pitcher that is looking for a new home.
