Woolson Spice Co. "Mocha & Java" Coffee, 2 lb tin (c. 1900)

Description

Antique "Mocha & Java Coffee" country store coffee tin dating to the early 1900s. Fabulous bright red, black & gold design & with a hinged, latched lid.

Print on the front & back reads" 2 Pounds - Net Weight, Roasted Mocha & Java Coffee, Packed and Fully Warranted by Woolson Spice Co. Toledo Ohio". Print on the sides reads "NONE GENUINE UNLESS SEALED WITH OUR AUTOGRAPH LABEL ACROSS COVER". Remnants of the seal in question can be seen on both sides.

Held 2 lbs net weight. 6.5" tall x 6" wide x 4" deep

Nice piece of early American advertising in very good vintage condition.

CONDITION:

Very good vintage condition, given its age. Normal loss of paint on edge of the lid from the tin being opened while it still contained coffee. Clean inside with some oxidation which can be seen in the last photo.
