Antique folk art wood burned brush holder (c 1920s)

Offering a folky wood-burned brush holder mounted on a shield-shaped piece for hanging. Made of lightweight wood and decorated with a foliage design highlighted by a heart. Unsigned. Hook on back for hanging. 

Measures: 10" x 8" wide. The holder is 1.5" deep.

This is a fun example of pyrography as an art form.
